A New Approach for Dam Safety Assessment Using the Extended Cloud Model

To address the uncertainty problem in assessment of overall safety trend dams and selection warning indicators, an Extended Cloud Model (ECM) combined with Analytic Hierarchy Process (EAHP) method is proposed this study. In new approach, different factors reflecting dam monitoring have been considered as a fuzzy system. Considering characteristics forward cloud model backward model, original data extended to classify division interval determine respective indicators. The weight distribution for each indicator level has determined using EAHP method. developed was applied evaluate Jilintai concrete panel rockfill dam. Simulation results showed that can generate reliable results, addition being used assess indicator. also more flexible easier use than other methods.
